A stunned dad and son couldn't believe their eyes when they found Ed Sheeran outside their home - and when the star agreed to pose for selfies with them. Matt Goddard, 44, and his son Kaspar, 16, met Ed, 31, while he was preparing to film a secret video believed to be for his new album, on the beach outside of their house. They met the Grammy award-winning singer, after multiple vans pulled up right outside their home in Lowestoft, Suffolk, earlier this week. The pair asked security guards what was happening, but they were 'fobbed off' and told them that they were filming a fish finger commercial. However, the next morning they realised something more exciting was happening when more vans pulled up at 5am. They then went outside to walk their dog and minutes later Ed, 31, came out of his Fiat and took photos with Matt and Kaspar. Matt said: "He was really nice and really welcoming, he came straight over to us. "He took a selfie with both of us, and then asked if we could keep it quiet. "Of course we did, until we saw everyone else posting it all over Facebook. "He did a piece to camera lip-syncing, and they then set various other bits up on the beach throughout the day. "He also climbed up a rope ladder which was being hung up by a crane, so I think they will make it look like he's climbing up to a helicopter or something. "They've also turned up again this morning, but it's been torrential rain and I'm at work now, so I'm not sure how much they will manage to get done today." The family actually live only around 30 miles from the Shape of You singer, and have seen him in concert before. Matt said: "My son is certainly a fan, and we have seen him in concert in Ipswich before. "He lives only a few miles away so we have driven past his house a couple of times and he's aways been someone who we've talked about because he's local to us."
