Two Palestinians killed as Israel hunts missing teenagers

Violent clashes in the night in Ramallah as Israel expands a crackdown on Hamas, blamed for abducting three Israeli teenagers.

The military says it has searched more than a thousand sites in the West Bank and detained more than 330 Palestinians.

Two Palestinians were killed Sunday in the crackdown including one man in Ramallah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israeli troops are only trying to defend themselves.

(SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, SAYING:

"We have no intention of hurting anyone maliciously, but our forces are behaving in the manner necessary for their self-defense and occasionally there are fatalities or wounded on the Palestinian side, as a result of our forces' self defense actions."

Later on Sunday a funeral procession is held in Rahmallah.
