Dozens more Palestinians detained as search for missing Israeli teenagers continues

The Israeli army detained another 40 Palestinians on Tuesday including members of Fatah and Hamas in its hunt to find three missing teenagers.

It brings the total arrested over the last few days in the West Bank to 200.

Israel accuses Hamas of abducting the 19 year old and two 16 year olds although Hamas denies any involvement.

Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Fraenkel, and Eyal Yifrah disappeared last Thursday after leaving a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli media is reporting that one of the teenagers called police saying he was being kidnapped, but police thought it was a prank call.

The head of the Israeli army said the military was preparing to expand its operation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the operation could take a long while.

“We are at the height of a complicated operation. We must be prepared for the possibility it could take time,” he said.
