The instances of horse meat being snuck into other meats throughout Europe keeps getting higher and the issue is still the topic of heated debates. Do you think it's bad to sneak in another animal's meat or even "non-meat" item into something sold as beef or pork? Should everything be clearly labeled? Does that apply to all food or just meat? How come companies seem to do this all the time with other foods and it's not as reported or passionate an issue on such a large scale?

Horse meat is not legal here in the United States, but many countries don't have any restrictions on the protein. In fact, there are many places where horse meat is commonly eaten. The issue with all the big horse meat scandal happening throughout Europe is one of transparency and not one of contamination or gross food. There's a lot of people who would eat horse or would at least try it if they were offered it, but more people who are highly offended and perturbed when they are sold a product labeled as one thing, but it turns out to be another.
