Jimmy Saville BBC television presenter sexually abused children for 50 years

Jimmy Saville, the popular British DJ and BBC presenter who died in 2011, raped more than 30 people over the course of 50 years, police say. Most of the victims were minors.
Most of the British population grew up with Savile in their living rooms, so the realization that he was a prolific, serial child abuser has severely damaged the British psyche.
