STORY: North Korea's state-run television has broadcast still photos of Kim Jong Un's childhood for the first time.

On Monday (April 21), the state television aired a video of the Moranbong band concert, marking the first meeting of the North's Air Force soldiers with Kim.

At the end of the concert, a big screen showed a chronological documentary of the Kim dynasty, containing three still photos of Kim Jong Un's childhood. Two photos showed Kim, likely taken when he was four or five, in an air force uniform and another photo showed an older Kim in a cockpit.

The photos could not be independently verified.

The North's official news agency KCNA said the concert was held on April 16.
