Ehrhoff's incredible NHL ear injury in Philly Flyers vs Buffalo Sabres game

The Philadelphia Flyers stomped the Buffalo Sabres with blades on at the Wells Fargo Center this week, ensuring the Sabres retain their unenviable position as the lowest scoring team in the NHL. But the story that's gone viral online isn't the Sabres' terrible performance, its number 10, Christian Ehrhoff's gnarly photo of his ear post-puckening. His teammate slapped the puck straight into Ehrhoff's right ear, splitting it across the middle.
Ehrhoff needed 40 stitches to put his ear back together, but not before he snapped a gross selfie and posted it on twitter. His 28,000 followers instantly started cracking wise and calling him Ear-off.
While Ehrhoff is expected to make a complete recovery, the Sabres season is conclusively a lost cause.
