Armed forces stand their ground in the Damascus suburb of Mleiha.

The Syrian army claims they've regained control over several farms here, in this latest video released by the government.

Key to that says an army commander --- was discovering how rebels move people and supplies through these tunnels.

"During the military operations and our forces' advancement towards Mleiha village, Syrian Armed forces found some tunnels, among which is this tunnel with a width of two meters and a height of 1.5 meters. This tunnel is used by the armed men to move arms and supplies."

Syrian government troops have gained momentum following the collapse of U.S.-backed peace talks.

But on Friday, security sources said the U.S. government is finalizing a plan to increase training and small-arms shipments for Syrian rebels.
