Objects spotted in missing plane search

The mystery is ongoing.

But new hope for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 as objects are spotted in the southern Indian Ocean from the sky.

This Wing Commander of the New Zealand Royal Air Force has been scouring the high seas.

SOUNDBITE) (English) WING COMMANDER ROB SHEARER SAYING:

"We came across a couple of objects, there were a few orange banners, there was other objects that on closer examination were, just for example, a green fishing rope, green fishing nets that sort of thing, that at first glance were very interesting but when we examined them a bit closer they turned out to be that detritus from fishing vessels."

A Chinese military aircraft also spotted three suspicious objects in the new search area nearly 1,850 km, or 1,150 miles west of Perth, according to the Xinhua news agency.

More than two dozen countries are involved in the search to try to find what remains of the Boeing 777.
