Thousands of anti-government protesters have gathered in Madrid for what's being called a "Demonstration for Dignity".

Under the banner 'no more cuts', they're expressing their anger over unemployment, corruption and government reforms.

More than 1,500 riot police have been deployed on the streets of Mardid to keep the demonstration under control.

Al Jazeera's Kim Vinnell reports from Madrid.
