Worker Dies After Tire Explodes in His Face

A 31-year-old man in Maryland recently passed away after a tire exploded. The victim, Pablo Juan Martinez had been working at Eastern Trailer Sales at the time of the accident.

The victim, Pablo Juan Martinez had been working at Eastern Trailer Sales at the time of the accident. According to reports, Martinez knelt in between the two front tires of a farm tractor.
He was attempting to fill one of them with air, but unexpectedly the tire failed and exploded in front of his face. It was a little after 12 on a Sunday afternoon when emergency operators received a call for help.
Although a medevac helicopter had been on the way to pick him up, it was soon canceled. Instead an ambulance swiftly arrived at the business.
During the route to the hospital, EMTs performed CPR on Martinez. He made it to the Meritus Medical Center, however he was pronounced dead a short time later, despite the frantic efforts to save his life.
Maryland Occupational Safety and Health authorities are currently investigating the incident.
