A NATO military convoy is bombed outside its base in Kabul's diplomatic quarters, with what authorities say was an improvised explosive devise.
Security sources said no troops were hurt.
They said the bomb targeted a military convoy near the entrance of Camp Eggers military base... not far from the German and Italian embassies.
Sirens and helicopters were blaring overhead according to local reports.
An announcement on a loudspeaker ordered troops to stay at base, load their weapons and take up defensive positions.
