Winter Storm Floods Parts of Southern England

The UK experienced storms and flooding on the night of December 23, following a weekend of rain and high winds. The BBC reported that at least two people died as a result of the storm. There was also widespread disruption of Christmas travel plans with train lines particularly affected. The south of the country took the brunt of the storm in the early hours of December 24.
