Russian President Vladimir Putin ally Sergei Sobyanin is expected to win Mocow's heated mayoral race. Early results showed him with 53 percent of the vote -- enough to secure victory without having to hold a second-round runoff.

But that isn't sitting well with Opposition leader Alexei Navalny who is accusing the Kremlin of interfering at the polls.

SOUNDBITE: Russian Opposition Leader And Moscow Mayoral Candidate Alexei Navalny, Saying:

"We regard what's happening as a falsification which is being orchestrated by the Moscow mayor's office and electoral headquarters. We demand an immediate publication of the turnout figures."

Navalny says its too early for his competitior to declare victory and is demanding the election continue to a second round-runoff.
