The best time to see Machu Picchu is at Sunrise, where the clouds and fogs hover around Wayna Picchu's peaks, and there are less people around. To do so, one needs to get up around 4:30 am, get to the bus stationat 5:15 am, and be on the first bus that is leaving around 5:30 am. Entrance opens at 6 am.
