In Ankara clashes erupted again between demonstrators and police. Much of the violence took place near the US embassy.

Despite the tentative steps towards some sort of dialogue in Istanbul, there were no signs that the concerns of these demonstrators have been defused.

Police used smoke grenades to disperse the crowds.
