The first episode of Sakamoto Days introduces Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who has retired and now runs a small shop, living a peaceful life with his family. His past as an assassin catches up with him when an old colleague demands he return to the assassin world, or face consequences. The episode also introduces Shin, a young man who ends up working at Sakamoto's shop and becomes entangled in the conflict.
