00:00Hello once again everybody. You know who I am and you know what I'm all about. I'm the K2R2 or the K2 Retro Second Year with another video.

00:08And today is not a hot tape. It's not a hot tape, but rather it's Biblical Talk today.

00:16So today's Bible Talk is all about forgiveness and why it's actually Biblical to forgive and why God commands us to forgive.

00:26You see, when we believe in God, forgiveness is a requirement. It is a command by God that we forgive others and let all grudges go.

00:36So, you may be asking, what is forgiveness?

00:40Well again, it's just as I said. Forgiveness is a command. It's a requirement from God that we forgive.

00:47Forgiveness is not a choice. Forgiveness is not a feeling. Forgiveness is not something you earn. Forgiveness is not a reward.

01:00Forgiveness is a command from God. And it's something that God also has given us.

01:09God has given us forgiveness. And you see, Jesus has forgiven us for our sins.

01:16When he died on that cross for our sins, we are forgiven.

01:22No matter how big or small our sins were.

01:26No matter how great we have done in harm to other people and ourselves,

01:33we are forgiven by Jesus when we repent.

01:38But also, we are also commanded to forgive others as well.

01:42And there are actually Bible verses that prove this, that we are commanded to forgive others.

01:49Now, there are a lot of Bible verses that actually command us to do this.

01:53And I'm going to read a couple Bible verses that will encourage you, yes you, to forgive others,

02:00just as God and Christ forgave you.

02:02And speaking of that, let's read the first verse.

02:05Now, this is the book of Ephesians 4.32.

02:10It says here,

02:12Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God and Christ forgave you.

02:18As you see, this is a command.

02:21If you turn your Bible to Ephesians 4.32, to that page, you'll see it actually says this.

02:29This is proof that we are indeed commanded to forgive.

02:34In fact, Jesus actually responded to Peter when Peter asked,

02:40Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him as many as seven times?

02:47And what did Jesus say?

02:48Well, I'm going to tell you what Jesus said.

02:51Jesus said,

02:53I do not say to you seven times, but 77 times.

02:58Now, Jesus is not saying limit your forgiveness to 77 times.

03:03He's saying, always forgive no matter what.

03:08Always forgive.

03:10We must have unlimited forgiveness because it is commanded that we forgive others.

03:19And see, that is also proof here that Jesus actually commands this.

03:24So, here's another one.

03:31It says here, in Luke 6.3.7,

03:34Judge not, and you will not be judged.

03:37Condemn not, and you will not be condemned.

03:39Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

03:42That is exactly 100% true.

03:45Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

03:47You see, forgiving others is a biblical thing, and it's definitely a command from God.

03:54It really is.

03:55And these Bible verses here actually prove it.

03:58Now, more proof on this comes from another verse.

04:04Colossians 3.13 says here,

04:07Bearing with one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you,

04:12so you also must forgive.

04:14Again, this is also another command that we must forgive others when we believe in God.

04:19When we're following Jesus, when we're following God, we are following a God that's a forgiving God.

04:27Yes, the Lord will judge us for our sins.

04:31Yes, the Lord judges sin.

04:34That is true.

04:35But, He also forgives sin.

04:39He forgives it.

04:40In fact, in the Bible, it even says that no sin is too great for Him to forgive.

04:47Isn't that wonderful?

04:48So, no matter how big or small your sins are, God will forgive you.

04:54See, God is your Father, and He loves you.

04:59You know, God is my Father too, and He loves me.

05:04You see, God created us all.

05:07See, God created us all, and that is 100% true.

05:11Now, does it, you know, does it stop the fact that we are all sinners?

05:19No, because again, we are all sinners.

05:22I'm a sinner.

05:24You're a sinner.

05:25And at some point in your life, you made a mistake.

05:28I made mistakes in my life.

05:33I've made mistakes in my life.

05:36You know, yes, it affected relationships.

05:38It affected, you know, family.

05:40It affected other people.

05:42But also, you must remember that you too also commit sins.

05:50So, again, nobody is perfect.

05:53Nobody in this world is perfect but Jesus.

05:56Jesus is the only one that is perfect because Jesus did not sin.

06:02That's right.

06:03Jesus sinned not once.

06:06Not once in the life of Jesus did Jesus ever commit a sin.

06:13In fact, Jesus always told the truth.

06:17Jesus is the Son of God.

06:19You know that?

06:21Jesus is also God in the flesh.

06:23And not to mention, Jesus is part of the Trinity.

06:27Because the Trinity has three members.

06:30God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus.

06:35See?

06:36And I believe in the Trinity, and so should you.

06:39So, there's also more proof here in the Bible that God does command us to forgive.

06:48Now, you may also be asking about unforgiveness.

06:51Now, we also have to be mindful that when we don't forgive others,

06:57God will not forgive us.

07:00Now, you may be asking, where is the proof of that?

07:03Well, let's turn the Bible to Matthew 6, 14 to 15.

07:07It says here,

07:08What that means is, God will not forgive us for our sins if we don't forgive others for their sins.

07:30Again, this is more proof that we are commanded to forgive.

07:36We are commanded.

07:39But you see here, it also says that if you forgive others their trespasses,

07:45your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

07:47And again, we go back to Matthew 18, 21 to 22.

07:52It says here,

07:54Jesus said,

07:56Don't forgive seven times, but 77 times.

07:59Which means that Jesus says,

08:01Always forgive no matter what.

08:04Because again,

08:05Jesus commands it.

08:06We are commanded to forgive others.

08:09No matter how big or small their mistakes are,

08:13we always have to forgive.

08:15Because there are consequences to unforgiveness.

08:21And you see, the first consequence I just said right here,

08:25that I just read,

08:26it says here,

08:27If you do not forgive others of their sins,

08:30the Father will not forgive you of your sins.

08:33So, right here,

08:36God says that if you forgive others,

08:40I will forgive you.

08:41But if you don't forgive others,

08:43I won't forgive you.

08:44That is what the Father said.

08:46That is what the Father says.

08:49And that is true.

08:50That is 100% true and accurate.

08:53So, I really recommend you guys study all this.

08:57Now,

08:58the second consequence when it comes to unforgiveness

09:01is grudge holding.

09:03Which is very unhealthy.

09:06And,

09:06the more we hold grudges on people,

09:09the more it just shows

09:12that you don't forgive them.

09:16And that's not healthy,

09:17now is it?

09:18That's not healthy.

09:21When you're holding grudges,

09:22when you keep holding on to the past,

09:25no matter how big or small

09:26that past was,

09:28it just shows that you just don't forgive.

09:33And that's not right.

09:35Now,

09:36let's go back to what I said.

09:37When I said,

09:38what is forgiveness?

09:40It says here,

09:42as I wrote this down in my notebook,

09:44I learned

09:46that forgiveness

09:47is not a choice.

09:50Forgiveness is not earned.

09:53And forgiveness is not a reward.

09:56Forgiveness is a command by God.

09:59Because we are commanded to forgive.

10:01When we live in unforgiveness,

10:05it's really bad.

10:08It's really sinful.

10:10You know,

10:10it's a really sinful way of living.

10:13You know,

10:14it really is.

10:16And it just shows

10:19that,

10:22you know,

10:23you know,

10:24let me also put it this way,

10:25right?

10:25When you don't forgive others,

10:28you're clearly saying

10:30that Jesus' death

10:32is not enough.

10:34You need to do more.

10:37Now,

10:38keep in mind

10:39that that is just wrong.

10:43That is plain wrong.

10:43If you're living in unforgiveness,

10:47then

10:48you need to start

10:49forgiving others.

10:53You have to forgive

10:54because

10:55that is what God

10:56commands us to do.

10:59Now, you see,

11:01if anybody tells you

11:03that forgiveness

11:04is something that you earn

11:06or forgiveness is a reward,

11:08then

11:09they're lying to you.

11:12That is a lie

11:13from the devil.

11:16And you see,

11:17the devil

11:17lies to people.

11:20You see,

11:21the devil's a very crafty one.

11:24He's a very crafty one.

11:26And the devil

11:27comes to do

11:28three things.

11:29Kill,

11:30steal,

11:31destroy,

11:32but also

11:32the devil

11:33lies to people.

11:35The devil

11:35manipulates people

11:36into falling

11:37for his tricks

11:38tricks and traps.

11:41And those tricks

11:43and traps

11:43will lead us

11:44straight to hell.

11:46It actually

11:47will lead us

11:48straight to hell.

11:52You see,

11:53the only reason

11:54that people say

11:55that forgiveness

11:57is something you earn

11:58is because

11:59they just choose

12:00not to do it.

12:02They just choose

12:03not to obey

12:04God's command.

12:05when people

12:07say that

12:08forgiveness

12:09is a reward,

12:10they just choose

12:12not to follow

12:13that command

12:13to forgive others.

12:18So,

12:19you all have to

12:20keep in mind,

12:20like I said,

12:21forgiveness is not

12:22something you earn.

12:23Forgiveness is a

12:24command that

12:25God has given

12:25us to do

12:26because

12:28the Bible

12:29proves it.

12:30It says so

12:31right there

12:31in the Bible.

12:32The Bible

12:33does not

12:34sugarcoat.

12:35Neither does

12:36Jesus.

12:37Jesus never

12:38sugarcoats

12:39anything.

12:40He never

12:41sugarcoated

12:41anything he

12:42said prior

12:43to his

12:44death.

12:47You know,

12:48that's facts

12:49right there.

12:50That's some

12:51real good facts

12:52right there.

12:54Right?

12:57In Ephesians

12:581-7,

12:59it says here,

13:00in him we

13:01have redemption

13:02through his

13:02blood,

13:03the forgiveness

13:03of our

13:04trespasses

13:04according to

13:05the riches

13:05of his

13:06grace.

13:09There you

13:09go.

13:11So,

13:12what's the

13:12lesson?

13:13The lesson

13:14is always

13:15forgive.

13:16As Christ

13:17forgave you,

13:20forgive others.

13:22Let those

13:23grudges go.

13:23Let the

13:24past go.

13:25You know,

13:26why are you

13:26worried about

13:27how big or

13:28small those

13:30mistakes were?

13:32Forgive.

13:35Always

13:35forgive.

13:37No matter

13:37how big or

13:38small the

13:39offense was

13:40that was

13:40done to

13:41you,

13:42forgive

13:42others as

13:43God has

13:44forgiven

13:45you.

13:47Isn't that

13:47wonderful?

13:48Isn't that a

13:48wonderful,

13:49encouraging thing

13:50that I'm

14:06God.

14:09instructs us

14:10to forgive

14:14sins.

14:17Isn't that

14:18wonderful?
