Knott's Berry Farm: RGS Galloping Goose #3 (6-18-2024)

Hey, everyone. Here is a new video of mine. I went to Knott's Berry Farm two days after I arrived in California and got to ride the Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #3.

*Goose 3 was built in 1931 for the Rio Grande Southern Railway as a member of the ironic Galloping Goose series. It was built with a Pierce arrow car body and a '33' engine with 39 horsepower. These Galloping Goose locomotives were built for the RGS, as they were ironically poor. Today, #3 is one of the 6 surviving Galloping Geese locomotives, as Goose 1 was scraped in 1933, but a replica of it was built in 2000 for the Ridgeway Railway Museum. Geese 2, 6, and 7 survive at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO, and Goose 4 survives in Telluride, Colorado, and Goose 5 is preserved in Dolores, CO and is sometimes operational in either the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, or the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad in Chama, New Mexico (or Antonito, Colorado). Goose 3 is the only Galloping Goose that survives in California.
