from the EP Album “JADA”, by Frank Trabucco (feat. Rick Cusin), Out Soon on all Digital Stores!
“Ja-Da” was a hit song written in 1918 by Bob Carleton.
The song has flourished through the decades as a jazz standard and sung by many artists: Arthur Fields, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Frankie Valli, Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, Louis Armstrong, Al Jarreau, Dean Martin…
This curious title reflected the "ja" of the jazz word, echoing the scat syllables of jazz singers as well. Its refrain includes nonsense "lyrics": "Ja-Da, Ja-Da, Ja-Da, Ja-Da, Jing, Jing, Jing."
