This art tutorial covers how to draw a landscape using coloured pencils. It explains step by step how to sketch out the initial drawing very lightly and colour the background in very light tones. I also show how to draw things very simply in the background to contrast with the detail of the foreground. As the drawing develops I explain how, by creating dark tones, you can make the foreground look as though it is in front of the background, creating a three dimensional effect.
