Cartooning for Peace

Conceived by the French cartoonist Plantu, "Cartooning for Peace" is an initiative born on October 16, 2006 at the UN Headquarters in New York. Twelve of the most renowned political cartoonists from all over the world participated in a two-day conference to help us "Unlearn intolerance" with Kofi Annan, the then Secretary General (1996-2006).

The conference was accompanied by an exhibition.
A movement was born.

The success of the different exhibitions and debates held all over the world lead to the creation of the "Association pour la Fondation Cartooning for Peace" in mai 2008 in Paris.
