In their game five victory against Minnesota played last Thursday the Blackhawks stormed out to the 3-0 lead at the 6:26 mark of the second period before the Wild got on the scoreboard at 10:11 to cut their margin to 3-1. Chicago extended to a three goal game just 35 seconds later and the Wild were held scoreless the rest of the way. Chicago was good this season on both ends of the ice. They are the second best scoring team in the NHL with an average of 3.1 goals per game and are best in the league in goal against average by surrendering 2.0 goals a contest to opponents.
