Japan holds anti-nuclear attack drills

Japan conducts its first anti-nuclear terrorism exercise on Saturday.

A team of 150 police officers, coast guard officials and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) workers teamed up for the drill in Fukushima prefecture.

The drill simulated a targeted attack on the TEPCO nuclear power plant there.

The 9.0 earthquake that shook Japan on March 11, 2011 triggered a 15-metre tsunami that struck the Fukushima Daiichi plant and set off the chain of events that caused its reactors to start melting down.
