Iraqis defy violence, poll irregularity to vote

Polls have closed in Iraq's regional elections, which has been marred by some violence.

It was the first vote to been held without the help of US authorities, after troops pulled out of the country in late 2011.

Apart from three small bombings, it hass been a smooth run for Iraqi security forces.
