UN bids to investigate chemical weapons in Syria

Syria has asked the United Nations only to investigate what it says was a rebel chemical attack near Aleppo. But as a team of experts waits in Cyprus for the government's approval to enter the country, early signs suggest it is unlikey that the UN group will be allowed in. Meanwhile, the opposition has blamed President Bashar al-Assad's forces for that strike and also wants the UN team to probe other alleged chemical attacks by the government. Al Jazeera's Diplomatic Editor James Bays reports from the UN Headquarters in New York.
