Jolie funding schools with jewelry, Jackson civil trial begins

Angelina Jolie has reportedly opened another girls school in Afghanistan and plans to fund more from the proceeds of a jewelry line that she helped to design. A goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Jolie funded the girls-only primary school in an area outside Kabul that has a high refugee population. Her jewelry line - which was created in conjunction with Robert Procop, the man that helped design her engagement ring - will go on retail sale for the first time on April 4.

Jury selection began in the Michael Jackson civil trial. The case, brought on by his mother Katherine against concert giant AEG Live, will examine if AEG was criminally negligent in its hiring and supervision of Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. The trial is expected to last three months and could see Jackson's children testifying in court.
