An elected panchayat in Jind district of Haryana has issued an absolutely bizarre diktat on girls. The panchayat has banned the girls from dancing at any cultural events in their schools as the panchayat believes dancing is 'obscene'. Will the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's government continue to remain a mute spectator to the medieval and talibanesque diktat?
