Civilians killed in eastern Afghanistan bombings

At least nine people were killed in a suicide bombing at the defence ministry in Kabul as a blast in Khost province kills eight, including youth. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which came as Chuck Hagel, the newly-named US secretary of defence, arrived in the Afghan capital. Al Jazeera's Sue Turton reports from Kabul.
