Leland and Leon share in common the uniquely American muse that falls in that indigenous place where Blues, Soul, and Jazz come together as one source. They share the awareness of the Texas Blues Guitar hierarchy inherent in their background. Their soulful, bluesy jazz exhibit influences that lean towards,T-Bone Walker, George Benson, Stax Records, Kenny Burrell, B.B. King, Phil Upchurch, Freddie King, Wayne Bennett, Grant Green, Albert King, Motown, Wes Montgomery, Michael Bloomfield,Charlie Christian, Johnny Winter and The Vaughan Brothers.
Between them Leland and Leon encompass an enormous scope of American musicality. Their guitar interpretations are inherently Texas flavored. They have been composing original music with the intention of recording a new album. We believe that you will agree that there is something special in their interpretation of the music.
