Bieber apologises to angry fans for late UK show

STORY: Canadian singer Justin Bieber apologised via Twitter on Tuesday (March 5) after fans booed him for turning up nearly two hours late to a London concert, blaming technical issues for his late performance.

The 19-year-old teen idol had been scheduled to take the stage at London's O2 Arena at 8.30 p.m. but said in a Twitter message that the time was pushed back to 9.35 p.m. due to "some technical issues".

"I am totally and utterly disgusted, we were all fans and now we hate him. (Another man shouts: utter disgrace!) It is," said one unidentified male concert-goer.

"The little girl in front of us fell asleep and her daddy was just 'sweetheart I will take you home now'. It's upsetting to watch someone that young to come to their hero's concert and him not even to come out. She didn't even see him perform," said 16-year-old concert-goer Emilia McHugh
