There's no one quite like Séan McCann. He's a larger than life sort of guy, incredibly nice and incredibly funny. He's from Newfoundland - grew up in the beautiful city of St. John's where he still hangs his hat when he's not on tour with Great Big Sea (a great big band that's been together for 20 years!). Séan has recently started a solo project and already has two solo albums under his belt: Lullabies for Bloodshot Eyes (2010) and Son of a Sailor (2011). A natural storyteller and poet, Séan's lyrics have an honest, old soul quality that set his songs firmly in the rocky soil and salty wind of this place. Thanks for coming on the Balcony Séan!
