"I Got You Babe" is a 1965 number-one hit single by American rock music duo Sonny & Cher.
In 1985 UB40 (with Chrissie Hynde) covered this track which appears on their album Baggariddim & also appears on The Pretenders 1987 album The Singles.
UB40 are a British dub/reggae pop music band formed in 1978 in Birmingham.
Christine Ellen Hynde (born September 7, 1951 in Akron, Ohio) is an American rock musician, best known as the leader of the band The Pretenders. She is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, and the only member of the band to remain constant.
