Jacky Rowland outlines expectations of Hollande's visit in Mali

French President Francois Hollande has arrived in Mali's central town of Sevare and is now in Timbuktu where he is meeting French troops.

He is expected to outline plans of French withdrawal from Mali, but as Jack Rowland reports, the final leg of the French mission is yet to be accomplished.

Rowland says the real test of the French military intervention will be to restore the whole country as a unified nation under civilian control, and that this is still some way off.
