Fresh clashes in Northern Ireland over British flag

Petrol bombs have been thrown at police in Northern Ireland for the first time in almost two weeks. The fresh clashes followed ongoing protests over the removal of the British flag from Belfast City Hall. Officials had earlier hoped that around six weeks of almost nightly violence on the streets of east Belfast had come to a stop.
