Man Arrested for Beheading Opossum

A man is arrested for beheading an opossum.
It’s hard for most people to imagine harming any animal. However, in a recent report, a 31-year-old Florida man was arrested following a horrific attack on an opossum.
Police officers were dispatched to the home of Alan McCarty and his girlfriend following a domestic disturbance call. When officials arrived at the residence, they were told that McCarty had allegedly placed an opossum in a kennel with the couple’s pet dog in an attempt to get the animals to fight.
When the dog wouldn’t attack the opossum, McCarty stomped on the critter and beheaded it with an ax. Deputies were able to find the decapitated animal and the blood covered ax outside of the home.
Last year, another man was arrested for a disturbing crime. A Flagler county, Florida resident, Justin, allegedly shot six cows. The animals belonged to his neighbor, who called police when he noticed his cows were missing and he heard gunshots.
The cows had been shot in the face, backside, shoulder and ribs. Justin was charged with killing or aggravated abuse to cattle.
