Hindu festival: Millions take a dip in the Ganges river

An estimated 110 million pilgrims are expected to bath in the Ganges river during India's Kumbh Mela festival which began on Monday. The 55 day event takes place every 12 years and is billed as the biggest gathering on earth. Hindus believe the dip can wash away their sins and help bring salvation.
