Egypt transfers shipment of building materials to Gaza

In a temporary easing of the six-year-old Israeli blockade on Gaza, thousands of tons of building materials such as cement and steel have been sent into the coastal Palestinian territory. The shipment donated by Qatar was allowed with the consent of both Egypt which controls the Rafah border crossing and Israeli officials.
