This music is the introduction and opening sequence soundtrack from Day of The Tentacle, a game developed and released by LucasArts on the MS-DOS PC platform in 1993.
It's the absolute original MIDI file from the game, as composed by Peter McConnell, Clint Bajakian & Michael Z. Land.
The purpose of this video is to demonstrate that MIDI files can actually sound very good when played with a nice synthesizer.
Here, I used the free BASSMIDI Driver SoundFont-compatible software synthesizer (http://www.mudlord.info/bassmididrv) to reproduce a MIDI file using Arachno SoundFont, a custom General MIDI SoundFont bank I designed for my Sound Blaster Live! soundcard.
My bank features many famous sounds from the best synthesizers by Roland (D-50, Sound Canvas...), Korg (M1, X5...), Yamaha (MU, Clavinova...), Fairlight (CMI), E-MU (Emulator), Ensoniq...
The audio and video tracks have been recorded straight from the game, using SCUMMVM 1.5.0 and CamStudio, with BASSMIDI Driver and my Arachno SoundFont bank as music source, dry, without any added effects.

Cette musique est celle de la séquence d'introduction et d'ouverture du jeu Day of The Tentacle, développé et distribué par LucasArts sur PC MS-DOS en 1993.
Il s'agit de la véritable bande originale du jeu en format MIDI, telle que composée par Peter McConnell, Clint Bajakian & Michael Z. Land.
