Romania marks National Day

Romania celebrated its National Day with a huge military parade in Bucharest on Saturday. Recently re-instated President Traian Basescu was among the 15,000 or so people who took part in the ceremony.

Held on December 1st, the holiday marks the 1918 unification of Romanian kingdom with Transylvania.
