M23 rebels and DR Congo troops in tense stand-off

There's a tense stand-off in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rebel soldiers have a few hours before a deadline set by regional leaders, demanding they leave cities captured in the country's east.

That deadline was issued two days ago - but so far there's no sign the group, known as M23, is planning to give up territory.

An Al Jazeera crew travelling with the rebels says they're continuing their patrols around Goma - the capital of North Kivu province.

Peter Greste reports from the Ugandan capital, Kampala.
