Altaf Hussain praises law-enforcing agencies for maintaining law and order during Muharram

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has paid rich tributes to government, armed forces, ISI, police, rangers and all other federal and provincial law-enforcing agencies for working assiduously to maintain peace and law and order during Muharram. He said that the reports of impending terrorism during Muharram were very disturbing, but the police and other law-enforcing agencies acted in a timely manner and defused bombs on several places and arrested terrorists.
Mr Hussain said that the personnel of armed forces, ISI, police, rangers and other law-enforcing agencies risked their lives in order to protect people and ensuring the law and order situation. I salute them on their diligent work and sense of duty.
He praised President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad, and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for playing for their effective support in controlling the law and order situation.
He particularly praised Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik for his tireless work for maintaining peace despite his illness and working on scientific lines for curbing terrorism. He said that Mr Malik deserves every praise for his good work.
Mr Hussain also commended the efforts of members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM, elected representatives, office-bearers of different wings, particularly doctors and paramedical staff of the Medical Aid Committee of the MQM and volunteers of the KKF for providing facilities to the mourners.
He thanked religious scholars for co-operating with the MQM in maintaining sectarian harmony and brotherhood. He also praised members of the print and electronic media for their positive role.
