MQM leaders took part in mourning processions visited camps set up by KKF

Deputy Conveners and members of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and elected representatives participated in the mourning procession that started from MA Jinnah Road in Karachi. Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar, Mr Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani and Dr Nusrat Shaukat walked along with the procession with other office-bearers of the MQM.
Medical camps were set up by Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, the charitable wing of the MQM, on the route of the procession. Arrangements were also made to provide food, water, and sherbet for the mourners. The MQM leaders met the Ulema and office-bearers of mourning organizations. They saw the security arrangements and inform the Ulema and the office-bearers of managing the procession about the arrangements made by the KKF in order to facilitate the mourners.
The Ulema and the office-bearers of the mourning organizations praised the efforts being made by the MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain towards promoting sectarian harmony and the setting up of medical camps and providing facilities for the mourners.
Members of the Co-ordination visited the KKF medical camps and saw the medical assistance being given to the mourners. They also distributed sherbet among the participants of the procession.
The KKF ambulances were also moving with the procession and shifting the wounded mourners to the nearest hospitals or medical camps.
Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer, Mr Saif Yar Khan, and Mr Saleem Tajik, and In-charge of the Karachi Tanzeemi Committee Mr Hammad Siddiqui along with thousands of the MQM volunteers were also present on the occasion.
