Baylor Bears versus Texas Tech Red Raiders Pick Prediction NCAA College Football Preview 11-24-2012

From Big 12 conference action the Baylor Bears will meet the Texas Tech Raiders in an NCAA college football game on Saturday afternoon. Kick off time from a neutral site at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas is scheduled for 2:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by FOX.
The odds opened up with Baylor favored by -3 ½ points and a total of 79 points. Early money has landed on the underdog as the Baylor Bears have dropped to a -3 point favorite. The total has moved down to 78 ½ points.
In last year’s meeting it was Baylor with the 66-42 win as a -12 point favorite. The total flew over the high closing number of 82 points. CFB Trend: Texas Tech Red Raiders are 0-4 ATS in their past four games.
Baylor improves to 5-5 on the season and one win away from bowl eligibility following a 52-24 home win last week against the Kansas St Wildcats as a +12 point underdog. The total came over 74 ½ points. The Bears posted 580 yards of offense against Kansas St with 342 rushing for 7 yards per rush. They turn it over twice and take three from the Wildcats. Nick Florence connected on 20 of 32 throws for 238 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. On the year Florence has 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Lache Seastrunk rushed for 185 yards on 19 attempts with one touchdown. Terrance Williams caught five balls for 87 yards and a touchdown. Baylor allowed Kansas St to produce 362 yards of offense with 76 from their ground game for 2 ½ yards per carry. That is an improvement as Baylor allows an average of 504 yards a game ranking 123rd in the nation and 38 points per game 117th worst in all of college football. If they can’t beat Texas Tech they will have a final shot at becoming bowl eligible with a home game next week against Oklahoma St.
Texas Tech has lost three of four games. They fall to 7-4 on the season after a 59-21 road defeat to the Oklahoma State Cowboys as a +10 point underdog. The game went over 72 points. The Red Raiders fell behind 35-7 in the second quarter in the loss. Their offense gains 383 yards with 99 from their rush game for 3 yards per carry. They turn the ball over three times and take none away from the Cowboys. Seth Doege hit on 24 of 36 throws for 230 yards with a touchdown and two picks. Doege is a senior with 35 touchdowns and 11 picks. Kenny Williams ran for 78 yards on 14 carries. Darrin Moore caught nine passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. Texas Tech allows Oklahoma St 487 offensive yards with 256 coming from their rushing attack for 6 yards a carry. The Red Raiders are the top passing team in college football as they throw for 362 yards per game which could be a major challenge for the porous Baylor defense.
