The 6-2 Brooklyn Nets have traveled out west to face the 5-5 LA Lakers from NBA pro basketball on Tuesday night. The Lakers and Nets begin from Staples Center at 10:30PM Eastern Time and NBA TV provides the live national television coverage.

The odds show the Lakers favored by -6 ½ points and the total of 208 points. When the NBA odds were released a few hours back LA was a -6 ½ point favorite with a total of 208 ½ points. No movement on the side and a ½ point move towards the under.

Last year in the lockout season the Nets and Lakers met once with LA earning a 91-87 home win as a -8 ½ point favorite. Trend: Brooklyn Nets are 2-0 ATS in their past two meetings with the LA Lakers.

Brooklyn is out to a nice start for a change. They are riding a five game win streak. They began this west coast trip by beating Sacramento 99-90 on Sunday as a -3 ½ point favorite. When you look up and down their schedule thus far so see a lot of wins against bad teams and sticking out like a sore thumb is a 30 point road loss to Miami on November 7th.

LA Lakers are now 4-1 since the coaching change. The D’Antonio system has produced a 114-102 home win against Phoenix and a 119-108 home win on Sunday night to the Houston Rockets. They are W’s in the standings but LA has allowed near 50% shooting to their past two opponents. The positive here is you have seen the LA turnover’s creep down from an 18 turnover average per game last week to 16 ½ per game heading into Tuesday’s game.
