In Slovenia, an estimated 30000 people took to the streets to denounce government cutbacks. The country has been badly hit by the global crisis. Public sector wages have been slashed in an attempt by the administration to avoid asking for a bailout.Conservative Prime Minister Janez Jansa said the reforms were necessary.
