Sun TV buys Deccan Chargers in IPL for 85.5 Crore per Year-TV9

Chennai-based Sun TV has bought the Indian Premier League (IPL) Hyderabad franchise, earlier owned by Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd. (DCHL), for Rs.85.05 crores per year, it was announced on Thursday.The Sun TV Network a Kalanidhi Maran-promoted media group bid was substantially higher than the second bid of PVP Ventures, according to a press release of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The franchise ownership contract will be for 10 years.
