Lance Armstrong's lawyer hits back at doping claims

Lance Armstrong's lawyer has defended his client after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) accused the cyclist of cheating his way to the top.
The agency on Wednesday (October 10) published a report claiming Armstrong was part of a sophisticated doping programme.
Attorney Tim Herman called the findings biased.

"There is no way we would have ever gone into a USADA arbitration because of the patent unfairness of their process and the fact that athletes never, ever prevail."
Armstrong has never failed a doping test, and has denied cheating.
But last month he was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles when he decided not to defend himself against the agency's charges.
Herman said they expected a better result with the International Cycling Union (UCI).

"While USADA has gone back 17 years, we are confident that the UCI will review this matter and apply the statute of limitations the way that it was written and the way that it is supposed to be applied."
The union has 21 days to file an appeal.
