The can and a can opener are given to a second spectator. This spectator opens the can only to find a card inside which has one corner missing. This corner is exactly the one that the other spectator kept for himself Both can and card can be given as a souvenir.
Remember The can is really closed and can be in full view the whole time. The spectator opens the can. The corner matches the chosen card.
