Flying high - Austrian man attempts space jump

An Austrian man is hoping to become the first person to parachute from a balloon 37 kilometres up in the stratosphere above New Mexico. 43-year-old Felix Baumgartner wants to break the freefall altitude record and the sound barrier in the process. He is expected to reach the speed of sound - 690 kilometres per hour - after 35 seconds.
